shattered, a narrative art exhibit
Stage three project description
My classmates and I made and interactive art exhibition, similar to Meow wolf. It had a mystery that the audience had to figure out. Each room was different. Each room connected to the story. The final experience for the audience was very intrigued Even if the audience didn't try to figure out the story they were still amused with the props and the art.
My role during this project during the first part was outreach. Outreaches job was to raise money and spread the word about are exhibition. We sold raffle tickets bake goods and sold coffee and more. Through out the project after we raised money. I helped with what anyone needed. I painted ,gave some ideas, clean, dusted. Any logistics things I was there. Without us razing money we couldn't have got half of any of the cool things we did.
Project Refelction
Meow wolf really helped our entire grade realize what we needed to do or concepts we needed. This project was the hugest project I have ever done and I do feel like I worked really hard. There were multiple times I was stressed and panicking and rushing around because I did care about this project. Some specific skills we all used in this project is geometry making fractals measuring walls and such. Humanities we had to create and write this story and use art. My take away from this project is when you make any big project all subjects are combined. This project made me step out of my comfort zone. I developed some more leader ship skills. Which now I can use in the future

Flat land and slaughterhouse five
Stage 1 project description
During humanities and math I worked solely on my art project. I learned how to use math tools to make my art geometrical. To summarize Flatland, it was a book about a 2D dimension. Its all about class systems. Circles are at the stop of the system. The main character, A square has a dream about a land called Line land. He tries to explain to everyone there viewpoint. Then a sphere visits A square and tries to describe a 3D dimension to him. This whole book is explaining that you need to expand your mind about dimensions. Slaughterhouse 5 is about a man Billy Pilgrim who time travels to times between his birth, death, and anywhere in between. Billy claims he was kidnapped by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore.Tralfamadore is in the 4th dimension. They have a completely different view of time. This book gets into how time and dimension aren't so simple. Reading these books seminars really helped me with my learning.
Artist Statement
Time through seasons:
Faith and Josie
In this piece we focused specifically on time. We represented time through seasons, with drawing trees with each season there was a different shapes. We had multiple ideas for this project that we kept changing. At first we wanted to show time through a mountain picture. Then we realized we needed something more. That is when we came up with the trees. We had drawn squares with the season fall, triangles with summer, rhombuses with spring, and at first we had circles with winter then we decided to change to a snowflake. We finally got our idea and decided to use canvas to make it look more beautiful. We had trouble at first but at the end we made it work.

Stage 1 Project Reflection
1:Reading a book in math was different. It wouldn't be the crazy if the book was a bit easier to comprehend. Although Flatland did make me think deeper. It made me think about dimensions. I was trying to think about how life would be in a 2D dimension. The connections between these two books is the exploration of the 4th dimension. Except in Flatland they explored using the theme of space
2: My design process for this project had a rocky start. My partner and I first wanted to show time through a picture with a mountain during different seasons. Then we moved to the idea with a tree in different seasons. We picked a shape to represent each season. We drew the trees on paper and they didn't look bad but we wanted more. So my group and I decided to paint them on canvases. We also got feedback for winter to be a snowflake so we decided to do a snowflake for winter instead of a tree.
3:My art piece didn't change my thinking about Flatland it just made my thinking more deep. Ever since I read Flatland I had such a hard time with the concept with 2D. When making my art piece I was thinking the whole time if this was the world Flatlanders were in and how'd they see my art. This mini project just brought up all the ideas I have and I'm excited to see what stage 2 will bring.
