3 Reasons to Celebrate
Perseverance
One piece of evidence that I would like to use as a celebration is that I persevered through the tough time that has caused my learning to suffer. Something happened drastically with my family resulting in me not caring about my learning. My grades suffered from this. I was at the point that I had almost all Ds. My love for writing was lost. I felt like I hit rock bottom. The good thing about hitting rock bottom is you can go nowhere but up. I started advocating for myself and persevering through the tough times. I did extra credit, I even vacuumed for extra credit.I was determined not to fail any classes. an I started to get really happy with the progress I was making. I found my love for writing again. I started writing again for fun. I wanted to get better.
Advocacy
I have grown a lot in advocacy. Once I started realizing I needed to focus on school I started asking my teachers how and what I can do to get my grades up. My biology grade is now a B resulting to that. We got and extension on our entire infographic and paper. We started that project when times were really bad for me. So advocating for that extension really helped.
Tumor Shrunk
One thing I'm so grateful for is that my grandmas tumors are shrinking. With all this great news my grades have gotten so much better and just all around my well-being and soul are healing. My spanish test I got a 9.5 out of 10 on. I'm so proud of myself. I brought that grade up and finished with a B.
2 Things To Work On
Advocacy
Although I have grown tremendously in advocacy I believe I can do more. There will still be times where I need clarification or I'm having trouble generating ideas. I'm very proud of my artifact six but I had such a hard time coming up with ideas for my poem. It wasn't till last minute that I asked for ideas or how to even start.
Prioritizing
When things got really tough in my social life,I chose not to care about my learning. I didn't think school should be one of my priorities. I don't know how the future's going to turn out but what I have to work on is making sure that whatever life throws at me I try my best to make sure I keep up in school. I am working on that right now. I feel if something bad really happens then I will need help and tools to get me back on track.
Big Question
How can I be interactive and engaged in my classes to make beautiful work?
